Step 1:
USA Lacrosse

USA Lacrosse membership is required for each Rockingham Lacrosse player and coach. Your USA Lacrosse membership provides necessary insurance coverage for your player during their lacrosse season and is valid for one year. Existing players/coaches will need to make sure their USA Lacrosse membership will not expire before or during the season. You will need to become a member with USA Lacrosse first and write down your membership number, you will need it when you register to play with the Muddogs. Rockingham Lacrosse Club validates all players and coaches against the USA Lacrosse membership database.

We are a non profit organization. Our fees help us facilitate lacrosse in the valley by paying for tournament entry fees, field maintenance, officials for games, equipment, uniforms, field rentals, and more. We strive to keep our program fees as affordable as possible. As a fully volunteer-run organization — including our board and coaching staff — we’re able to minimize costs and focus resources on supporting our players. Throughout the year, we also host a variety of fundraisers to help sustain our programs.

We believe that financial circumstances should never prevent a child from playing lacrosse. If program fees present a challenge, please contact us at RockinghamLacrosseClub@gmail.com to learn more about scholarship opportunities.

Rental Equipment

Image-1 (2)_edited.jpg

Equipment is available for rent in limited quantities. As a club, we prioritize renting gear to our first time players to help minimize the up front cost of lacrosse before realizing that their athlete loves the sport and the Muddogs.

We currently have chest protectors and helmets that meet industry standards. While we are happy to rent all the equipment that we have, we do encourage our parents and athletes that have been with us for more than a year to begin investing in gear. By investing in your athlete by providing them with gear you are helping to provide new athletes an opportunity to use our rental gear and discover how amazing this sport is. We provide uniforms for all players at no extra cost.

For boys rental equipment, a $200 check is required as a deposit that will be returned to you when the equipment is returned. In addition, there will be a $75 non-refundable fee required at equipment pick up.

For girls and Mighty Muddogs rental equipment, a $200 check is required as a deposit that will be returned to you when the equipment is returned. In addition, there will be a fee of $40 non-refundable fee required at equipment pick up.

Uniforms
Look Good, Feel Good, Play Good!

Thanks to generous donations from our sponsors, each athlete receives a complete uniform to be used for the season. The Mighty Muddogs receive a jersey only and should wear their own black shorts. Boys Muddog teams receive a jersey and shorts (high school boys receive home and away uniforms). Girls Muddogs teams receive a jersey and kilt. Uniforms are handed out at uniform night and are returned at the end of the season in clean and in good condition. Socks and any items worn under the uniform (tights, long sleeve shirts, etc.) should be white, purple, black, or grey.

Team Apparel

Our players love to show off their Muddog spirit, on and off the field. Every spring our players receive a Muddog t-shirt, thanks to the generous donations of our sponsors. If players or any supporters want to purchase additional Muddog apparel, we have team stores with Squad Locker or Rivanna or Blatant. A small portion of your purchase goes to support our club.
